Testing live writer –inserting a video.

April 17th, 2009 | Category: Computers, Random

Er nope doesn’t work.  Think I have to tweak it.  But you can just add the tags “”  directly in the live writer editor and it will work.  As shown above.

Overall I really like live writer.  You can get more info about it here.  And some tutorial videos found here.

Melissa and Bingying you guys should use this.  It’s free too!

Testing new blog writing software

April 17th, 2009 | Category: Computers, Gaming, Random

Just downloaded the free Microsoft Windows Live Writer software for easier blog writing.  Seems pretty nice.

Here is my modified Hori EX Pro for my Street Fighter 4 addiction.  To test out the image editing abilities of this application.

I added Sanwa buttons and a new sanwa balltop.  My GF thinks I should have picked nicer colors, but I suck at picking colors.  Eventually I want to add a custom image over the stick like the people at http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=115479&page=151

Here are some examples.

I should find a friend that’s good with photoshop to make me a cool one.

I also just received the Madcatz Street Fighter 4 Tournament Edition stick in the mail today from buy.com  I preordered it a while ago and forgot to cancel it.  Now that I have it I’m tempted to keep it too.  I can sell it for over 200 dollars though.  Seems like a waste since I have the Hori EX Pro my GF gave me for my birthday.  Both sticks have all the same parts.  Though the tournament stick is really nice though.  Should I just keep both? haha.

Sharepoint Connections 2008 – Las Vegas Quick Review

December 24th, 2008 | Category: Computers, Sharepoint

So I have been pretty terrible at writing anything.  I’m taking advantage of today’s half day to write.

So this year’s SharePoint conference was not as good as 2007, I did not really hear any good speakers this year.  All the best ones from the previous year were absent this year.  I wonder why, but whatever I learned a few tidbits and I got to enjoy the week with my GF who was able to tag along.  Being in Las Vegas alone is not very fun, so it was nice to have her there.

One other note the layout this year was terrible.  It was spread out between 3 floors because there was another big conference in the same location so it made it really difficult for me to attend the ASP sessions if I wanted to.

I think for my conference choice for 2009 I’ll pick TechNet which is in Los Angeles in the spring and try that.  Hopefully I’ll learn more from it.

Windows 7 for 2010

March 14th, 2008 | Category: Computers

New windows confirmed for 2010. Bound to happen but still Vista still isn’t ingrained with the majority of people like Windows XP is. Its the same with all their business software: office, server, exchange etc. New updated editions all the time to milk people for licensing money and their threat of eventually dropping support for the older versions at some point. I have been working with Sharepoint 2007 and I already hear talk of the new version. WTF.
