Street Fighter IV – BUY IT.
I purchased street fighter iv recently and boy is it a blast. I feel like a kid again spending hours and hours playing Street fighter II. Recently most games i’m pretty bleh about. I don’t have the patience to play them usually unless my GF is watching me play and it makes it more interesting. A sign of old age I guess? Maybe having too much disposable income being able to buy whatever game I please makes me value each game less. I used to have to beg my parents to buy me the new game as a 8 year old and I definitely played each precious game I received every few months to death.
Anyways Street Fighter II definitely has rekindled my passion. I played my cousin the other night and it definitely brought back my memories of sitting in the arcade with him wondering how to counter his damn cheap gulie flash kick move. MY gf ordered me a fight stick for my early birthday and boy will I be spending time hadouking away for a long time. A fight stick will definitely give you an advantage. SNES there were no fight stick options so everyone was on a equal playing field (and it was all played against each other locally anyways.) So if you want to compete online either you pray the other person doesn’t have a fight stick or you’ll just be at a natural disadvantage every time. The game is way more complicated than it was with all these new fancy combat mechanisms, but hopefully I can learn them and keep up with the young kids that naturally learn faster than me in video games. haha.  Anyways if you like fighters at all I recommend Street Fighter IV.

Well I decided to purchase this game for a few reasons but the main reason is for it’s multi player component. With 15 different types of multi announced that should entertain me for quite a while with all my friends. Granted my gaming time is limited these days, but only regularly playing COD 4 is getting a tad old. Sort of. hehe. It is amazing how I still get a kick out of that game, but it is to take a break and add in more variety.
No commentsCall of Duty 4 – Training Course in 13.1 Seconds
I don’t recall how many seconds it took me to do the training course in COD 4, I’m pretty sure it was like 20 plus seconds. I found this video on Digg.com on how to complete the training course in 13.1 seconds. He zipped through the course insanely fast. You can check out the video here. Of course all this doesn’t matter to me because I mainly play multi-player anyways. You unlock the harder difficulty levels depending on how fast you complete this training section. If only I had the discipline to ignore seeing my friends on xbox live playing COD4 online I might actually care. haha.
No commentsWorld of Warcraft PvP – AB Defense Comic
This comic cracks me up from Ctrl-Alt-Del . I remember the pain of pugging in AB games long ago and the stupidity of some players. Fortunately I met a player named Frida in a random PUG and he started inviting me to his organized team games. I ended up running those teams later on for countless hours in my hopes of saving 800G in getting a free mount for rank 11. I probably would of gotten the gold faster if I had grinded it out, but hey I was a Commander shiznit with a red mount. It was cool and special till they gave them away for free later on with stupid tokens. BAH.
Anyways probably the best gaming moments in WOW for me were from the PvP sessions and all the online buddies I made through it. I still talk to online even though I don’t play anymore. If only WOW was truly a game based on war craft I would still probably be playing.
P.S. CAD also has nice series of comics starting here that I enjoyed.

Star Wars Force Unleashed
This game looks bad ass. I played most of the Star Wars games released, but there really hasn’t been a memorable or outstanding one since in my opinion XWing or Tie Fighter.

My friend has been busy in the cross stitching world and has posted some of her work at tastethehappy. She has generously posted the patterns of her work on the site if you want to recreate her work. I think she gets way more web traffic than I do for her work. lol.

WOW Gear Resets at 80
So yeah we know it was going to happen, but it still grates on me that all your hard work of arena/raiding gets turned to crap with the first few levels of green quest items. It is a vicious cycle MMOs create. There is no end, just an end to cool names for the gear.
Blizzard Poster: “I won’t get into another one of these conversations too much, but the bonus that high-end raiders get is the items they have right now that allow them to be awesome. The gear gets “reset” from time to time, but if they still want to dish out the damage (or heals or tanking as appropriate), they know how to get back to the top and they might even pick up some new players in the process to help their progression.
As for the vanity side of things, there are some good ideas out there for creating diversity in players’ looks, but we have no definite plans on changes beyond the hair styles at this time.”
Jacked this comic pertaining to the subject. Oh well glad I quit raiding in May and quit WOW all together in October. So if I do restart I can be equal with all the tier 7 people with my ugly greenies too.
Edit: Found this image on a message board, but I found the original poster here.
No commentsBeastly PC Monitor
That thing is huge. DLP though I’m kinda skeptical, but a curved LCD screen in a few years? Probably.
No commentsXBox Live Problems
While I do agree it is annoying that XBox Live was having issues the past 2 weeks, I do think it is ludicrous that people in the state of Texas are suing Microsoft for 5 million bucks because of it. A fine comic from ctrl alt del on this matter.
No commentsSadistic rip off of Mario Brothers.
Thank you digg.com That provided me with a good laugh. haha. Looks like the most impossible game ever. Would of pulled my hair out on this one as a kid.
