Broke down and bought the Xbox 360 after waiting like 2 years. Well I got the HDTV on Friday finally so it was an eventuality anyways. Bought and borrowed some games already.

COD 4, Naruto, Gears of War, Halo 3, and Assassin’s Creed. Too many games to play. Doh.

After Turkey Day dinner drove by Best Buy that is on my way home at around 11 PM just to see how many crazy shoppers there were. There was a line wrapped around the building! There were tents, sleeping bags, etc everywhere. I saw this couple drive up in a fat Mercedes at 11 to line up and I was like WTF why do they need to spend 7 hours in line?!?! Anyways I am not that hard core so I went home and slept. Woke up at around 8am and went to Best Buy & Circuit City with my sister. Only got the 300 dvd for like 6 bucks. Was unable to find a tv.

Later that night I went back to Circuit City because I saw a Sony online for sale for 1299.99. I went in the store, agonized about the decision, and when the salesman told me it was actually 1199.99 I was sold instantly. I was debating the decision to buy a slightly better spec Samsung online, but when I saw that very Samsung with a dead pixel at the store, I took that as a sign that I shouldn’t risk having to ship a TV back because of a defect. So in the end I purchased 1080P 40 inch LCD screen, Model KDL-40v2500. Now to purchase a Xbox 360 soon.

Soon Black Friday shopping will be upon us. I have scoured the internet sites for posted advertisements. I am in search for a LCD TV, XBox 360, dvds, games, etc.

Thought I would just list out my personal top 5 favorite anime series in no particular order. The listed are series that are already complete. I won’t be counting any long running ones. The following series are ones where I liked them so much I bought them on DVD except for Ouran Host Club which hasn’t been released yet in the US and I can watch them over and over again.

Um yeah I’m going to write about Wicked the Musical. Uh I dunno if you would consider this Otaku at all, maybe kinda girly, but whatever I loved it! My girlfriend bought tickets and we went 2 weeks ago. It was by far the best live action production I have ever seen. The story is basically about the Wicked Witch of the West in the story of
“The Wizard of Oz.” It was based off the Wicked, but of course it has been tweaked for Broadway.

Went to the Hollywood showing at the Pantages theater . Acting was great, singing was great, production values very high. I highly recommend buying tickets and watching it. It is suitable for all ages. I would even consider going to watch it again at some point. Should of listened to my friend earlier and watched it sooner.

Will be at a conference for Sharepoint till Thursdays. Updates might be slow.

Found a site on digg that has side by side comparisons of Crysis in DX9 and DX10. Worth it? What I told Mshim “sometimes i wonder if they made it look like that on purpose in dx9 as a selling point for 10.” Maybe when SP1 comes out I will consider upgrading.
